A fairly unkown company~

Limhwa or EOSDoll is in my top 3 of companies. It's because I actually own 3! Dolls from this tiny Korean company. I'm also interested in their new EOS body and the new Iris head~~

You can check their Flickr here. It seems they're re-releasing some tan dollies like Half-elf! I actually own a tan Half-elf and tan To-L from this company ~ along with a normal skin Human ~ their names are Lisua, Aran & Ièn.

This company usually goes through dealers and is really really tiny, last I checked it was basically just 1 woman doing all the sculpting and preparation. But I really really adore the sculpts, they seem to be different from most other companies, they really have a special style of their own. The bodies are also GORGEOUS, by the way! I miss these 3 a lot (all are back in my home in Holland T_T;;) ~
I wish Limhwa/EOSDoll would be more popular! :D

Are there any tiny/unknown doll companies you absolutely adore?

  1. I like this company's style a lot and agree that they definitely should be more popular! >3< I think Half-elf is my favorite from them, though this is one of those companies that I've never thought of getting a doll from myself, but I do enjoy looking at the sculpts in other people's pictures :)

One less known company that comes to mind is Maskcat Doll! They're pretty new and don't have that many customers yet, but I do think that they have a lot of potential to become better known and their sculpts are really lovely~

    1. I totally agree with you~~ I think Half-elf is the more popular sculpt - and she deserves it too! I quite like her face!
I like maskcat doll too, they also have some more unique sculpts and their styling is cute!

  2. I love Limhwa/EOSdoll! Since I started this hobby, I've wanted a Limho Mono because back then there weren't that many slim minis available, apart from Unoas, Narin & Narae and of course Limho Mono. And he's still one of my favourite sculpts. ♥ Hopefully one of these years I'll finally be able to bring him home, ahah~ xD

I really like Half-Elf and also the newest mini girl, Lily. :3 Actually a few years ago when I was planning my grown up Yun Hee, I was looking at the EOSdoll 65cm body as a hybrid option for her... because Oasisdoll hadn't sold the Chic body for a couple of years, and I thought that I wouldn't be able to get it at all. Well, thankfully it was available in last year's Christmas event, finally, so I didn't have to start hunting for a body separately. But someday I definitely want a doll with that body, I love how curvy it is! ♥

My favourite small/unknown company is definitely Withdoll! ♥ I'm really thankful that I've been able to befriend the owner's wife (who is their translator and photographer) so we exchange messages regularly. :3 Their customer service is superb, and so is the quality of their dolls! They offer a variety of skin colours, and even the darker skin tones don't have any marbling nor uneven colour. The prices are also very affordable and they often have discount events - sometimes I feel like they are being too generous, even, ahah. xD I sincerely hope that more people would learn about their dolls and buy them. Well, for now they only have 40cm range dolls and 16cm tinies, but this spring they're releasing their first 60cm girl. They've been working very hard, so I'm happy and excited for them! ♥ Hopefully with the release of the new girl, they will be able to expand their customer and fan base~ I've heard some people say that they love Withdoll's dolls, but wish they were 60cm+. It seems like the bigger dolls are the most popular among BJD hobbyists.

    1. I hope so too! I think their minis are quite nice too! And that EOS body is so sexy, I really like it. But their older girl body is also really sexy and lovely >////< I also think Oasisdoll's body is superb though, it's not so curvy and sexy but it's really elegant and the sculpting work seems delicate and functional.

I love Withdoll, and I love your pictures of their dollies! I was actually checking their website the other day to see about any potential SD dolls - since that's my preferred size too XD I'm safe so far because it seems they had minis only! Soo, if they release that 60cm girl I might be in trouble!

  3. I like them too, though I didn't know they were so tiny as a company! I've been awfully lazy the last few years learning about companies, so I'm not sure what would qualify as a small company.

    1. Yeahh! I reckon any company that doesn't even have a shopping cart system (and takes orders through e-mails or something only) would be quite small and sometimes unknown! Bigger companies would be Volks, Soom, Fairyland, Luts and Dollmore?

How about any fairly unknown or unpopular companies? :3

    2. I don't know, I guess Peak's Woods doesn't count since Goldie is pretty well known, same as Supia that has been really popular as of late.
Does Merry doll round count? I really love Fang, I almost buy a head last eyar but finances were tough
