Soom's evilness

I find both of these dolls exceedingly gorgeous! I can't believe Soom re-released Heliot~  My only issue is that the girl only comes in tawny skin. If she were released in White skin I'd be all over that! I'm also not really into the amber ears T_T;

Otherwise, lovely twins might be a very very tempting idea :O

  1. I really love Heliot as a girl and also the romantic eyes, for me this release would be perfect... But I really shouldn't buy dolls that I don't have a planned character for u_u I do hope that many people buy these, so that there'll be lots of pictures at least!

    1. Ahaha, are you sure you can resist the temptation? @o@ They are both gorgeous.
      I'm safe unless they add different skintone options, then I might be very very tempted!

  2. They certainly do some great looking fantasy dolls. These two look perfect for being twins. Shame she isn't the colour you would have liked though.

    1. Yeah, I'm quite a Soom addict since i love many of their sculpts~ I actually hope they won't release that skintone, as my wallet would be in trouble T_T;;;

  3. A little late to the party but... I just love Heliot girls, but I've never been a big fan of the Amber ears. If she came with the original Heliot ears and came in white, I would've been tempted. x3 But I find it sad that the female has even smaller eyes than the male. I'd rather get the male version and put on a female body and that would just be a hassle, lol. But they're really making girls that tempt me now (really wanted that breccia too because she would've been perfect for a character of mine), I just don't know what body I'd put one on if I finally caved. :'D

    1. Me too~ I used to own one too and regret selling her (this always happens to me)

      I'm in the same boat as you are, with different ears and white skintone available she would've been tempting, but for now our wallets were safe, hah! :D
      I guess you could always try to find an older Sgem body? However matching resins is always troublesome isn't it?

    2. I had a Heliot head for a while too, but I sold her because I didn't like the horn much and didn't want to mod the forehead.

      Soom's CW has been quite consistent (unlike all their other tones, lol) so I don't think matching the resin would be that hard. The problem would be splitting off the new body. There probably are a few people that would buy it but they never take part in splits especially because they'd be subject to Finnish customs taxes if I was running it, lol. Buying the whole thing and risking not being able to sell the body is not something I want to do, so I'll make-do without the doll altogether. Besides with all the problems Soom is having, I don't really want to support them until they get their act together.

    3. Ah, so you had the romantic horned version :O yeah that would be a huge deal to mod!
      You are right, it's always been a consistent creamy white as far as I know, but I have had it yellow to varying degrees depending on age ^^ so that's why I'd be worried about the color.
      Yeah, most people seem to want the heads in splits.... I wish Soom would sell heads separately sometimes :O Weren't there shipping delays recently? I've not heard of any other issues with them lately. I'm still waiting for my Amber boy order as well ^^;;

    4. Yeap, I didn't have her for long, but I did give her a face up and take a few photos, but it wasn't working for me.

      Right now Soom's got... lot's and lot's of shipping delays, orders getting cancelled, stuff getting mixed up (the new customer service people are still not as good as the old one). From what I've read from DoA anyway. And then there's the issue of bad quality dolls/missing pieces that's been going on for years, but it's a lot harder to fix now because the translator will say one thing first and next time you message them, they'll say another thing. So, if there are issues it could be a huge pain to fix. I really don't want to order because of all that and I'll rather give my money to companies that have better quality dolls and better service right now.

      I question some of their choices in casting too. Like, I saw one of the centaur dolls for sale and it had a giant ridge of a seamline down the side (well both sides, most likely). I don't understand why they don't cast them so that the seamlines are at the bottom and the back?? You wouldn't even see it in the belly side and the back would just be one single line to sand and blush. But anyway, haha, I'm glad they're not making anything _perfect_ for me right now because I don't really want to order from them. x_x
      I'll have to if they re-release one certain doll that's going to be my big!Cin, but otherwise I don't wanna order from them. The currency rate is so crappy too, that anything from them will cost a fortune.

    5. Ah, those are some good points :O I've no idea how my order is going to work out in that case. I have just been patiently waiting xD; I hope they get their stuff together soon!

      Yeah.. I think Iplehouse really has the best casting, they seem to be extremely professional at it!
