Clozel x3 (Unpainted unclothed doll alert)

Clozel arrived the day after Amber~ though unevenly yellowed... her description clearly stated even yellowing. However I might be able to fix this.
But it appears to be a trend in the DoA marketplace recently to misrepresent yellowing =/ at least in my experience.
I did some sanding already and it shows up less in photos :D Excuse the boobage(a yellow spot shows on her left boob..)! I just love her all in white ~ I still need to find time on one of my days off for doing a proper face-up~

As for Soom, they finally replied to my Q&A message stating I should return Amber's entire body to them... and I'm not really feeling comfortable with doing that. Especially since I only need 1 left arm piece technically speaking, as well as the fact that they said they would refund the shipping cost in credits =/.

  1. Ohhh She's lovely!!!!! I thought the yellow spot was just shadows XDDD I hope you get to get her to an even condition, it sucks the seller wasn't straightfoward with that, I've been reading a lot of people with the same problem buying from DoA.

About SOOM what the actual F? why should you send the entire body? they should just send you what you need >.> ..... .at least theyare offering you a refund of some sorts for sending the stuff to them, when I had a problem with some books I bought online they expected me to cover all the shipping charges x.x........... but yeah I wouldn't like credits either, specially if at the moment you might feel less compeled to buy a doll from them again (I know I am).

Oh well, at least you should be getting a new neck in that case .... Dx Idk what to tell you really... Q_Q Good luck!

    1. Thank you~~ :D Haha, happy it's not too noticale in the photo~ It seems to be quite common, however to me it does seem like quite a misrepresentation :(

Thanks for your support, I will try to communicate with them again, I just don't want to spend that much on the EMS fee back to Korea without a guarantee of a refund, besides, I could probably send them the parts for cheaper which would also allow them to match the new parts. This all seems a bit strange to me xO hope it will work out.

  2. Congrats on your Clozel's arrival~ But sorry to hear that she's unevenly yellowed :/ People seem to have quite different ideas about where the line between even and uneven goes u.u But hope you manage to make it look less obvious!

About that Soom thing, I do think that it would be a good thing to send back the whole body to make sure that the new pieces match. Some people have received replacement parts that don't match at all... But I'd be strict with them and tell them that you want the shipping cost refunded to your paypal. They have done this before, so there should be no reason that they couldn't do it now. They just might suggest the refund as points first. Do let us know how the situation goes!

    1. Thank you~ There seem to be different standards to inspecting~ And hopefully I can do some proper sanding to fix everything.
Thanks for your advice on Soom, I hope they're a little flexible with their service, I just don't want to spend so much money on the EMS fee D:

  3. Oh my, Clozel is really beautiful. I love that expression on her face. I'm sorry to hear that she has yellowed unevenly. You did a great job sanding her though. Yellowing is so hard to see in sales photos too which makes things even harder.

Hmm, too bad if you weren't planning on getting anything else from Soom if they are going to just give a credit for the return shipping fee. As safir said, maybe you could ask for an actual refund for the return shipping fee as it was Soom's mistake in the first place. I am confused about sending the whole body back, I would have thought maybe the whole arm so they could resin match it ...Posting a body anywhere is pretty pricey.

    1. Thank you~ I adore her sculpted features a lot too! No worries, I surely can work at sanding her a bit and her face doesn't have any yellowing which I find very important also! :D
