Caramel

Caramel

I adore tan Pullips, but it's so hard to find matching alternative bodies for them~
Finally I've finished this sweet girl, who remains nameless. Any suggestions?

  1. ohhh she's so pretty!!! what body did you get for her?

I'm so bad with names, I'm struggling to name the few dolls I have incoming XD
    I love her lips! You make lips look so shiny, what do you use? I use tamiya gloss but even after 3 layers I don't think it look this good ;_;

    1. Thank you! A while ago in Japan I picked up a Volks dollfie plus sized doll and stole her tan body.. that's the body she's on! LOL :D
Ah, me too, sometimes names come immediately but sometimes names take ages to be chosen for my dolls!
As for gloss, I checked and I use Tamiya color X-22 (clear) which is their gloss, I suppose! Is it different from the one you have? I only used one layer on this girl actually D: But I have noticed sometimes it tends to dull a bit and later on I will need to add another layer.

    2. Then I guess you really need to layer it, I have noticed that the shininess really varies every time I use it! O_O

  2. Oh boy, she is adorable Irene. I really love Pullip's tan colour. It's so caramel as your blog post title says!

Choosing names ... I tend to google name sites (eg. I tend to look for a lot of Celtic, Romanian, Welsh names when I'm looking to name characters.) Maybe try that and see what comes up? Or those fantasy name generator sites. They come up with some good stuff.

I rather like the name Caramel though ... okay, now I feel like some chocolate. Excuse me whilst I raid the fridge!!

    1. Thank you, yes, she really reminded me of that, especially her hair~
I think those are great ideas, and I also like the idea of actually naming her Caramel. Pullips can kind of pull off silly food names like that, can't they?

  3. She looks beautiful! ♥ I didn't know that there are also tan Pullips!
Caramel or something else sweets/chocolate themed would make a great name for her, I think :3

  5. She's so pretty! She's tan? Really beoutiful colour.

I'm with Safir, Caramel would be a cute name. :D I'm so bad at naming myself so I don't have any suggestions. In finnish that would be Karamelli...

    1. Yeah, thank you so much! I adore tan, it just gives dollies a whole new look!

    2. :D Yes! Hyvรค! There's a sample of Finnish pronounciation in my Instagram about how do I say "Vanille". XD https://www.instagram.com/p/4M6hSNgqpv/?taken-by=xaya_pooh

    3. Ahh, I love Finnish pronunciation XD It's much cuter than my own language for sure! And not too hard either :3 Too bad everything else about Finnish seems almost impossible to learn~ D:

  7. She is lovely Irene! My suggestion for the name would be Zonya. If you ever have the urge to make a custom Pullip but you feel you have no character or space for any more, I'd love to adopt one customized by you. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Aw, thank you Roosa! I am planning to put the 2 dollies from my last post for sale up in my Etsy shop, but you'd get priority of course :) so let me know if you ever see any you like!

    2. OMG how wonderful thank you! I really love your work so I probably have to have one of your beauties. As much as I like customizing, I have already my hands full of projects so it would be nice to have even one doll as a "full set" and just ready for me to enjoy it without going through all the work. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just let me know when you are about to put the dolls on Etsy so that I can get ready to grab one.

    3. Hi Roosa,
Alright I'll shoot you an e-mail next time I put one up :3 the next one will be the mohair girl :3

    4. Yes thanks dear! Actually the mohair haired girl is the one I have kinda set my eyes on. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. The tan skin does give her a special glow Irene, she's beautiful. I know you've already settled on her name now, but I was thinking of maybe Caramello or even giving her a second name, perhaps something French sounding like DuPont. I can just imagine her sitting at a table outside one of those Cafes, with a poodle beside her. :)
    Hugs,
    X
