Hello, home!

Hello every one ~
it's 7AM right now, I keep waking up early because I am still jetlagged! I've finally arrived in my hometown, somehow I managed to carry 11 Pullips in my bag, and 6 full-sized BJDS in my small carry-on suit case. I do believe I scared the hell out of one customs lady who wanted to open my bag. Ahahaha... The thing is I had to remove all of my BJDs' legs/lower legs to make them fit, so they were basically just a bunch of torsos. Which sounds/looks really creepy/frankenstein-y.

So far I've just eaten delicious food, went shopping and sorted out all the things in my room!

This gorgeous girl was waiting for me here upon my arrival~ I had ordered her a while ago and since I knew I was going home, I had her shipped to my hometown! She's an Oasisdoll Jadeite, who was a long-time grail of mine! I believe she's on the IT-girl body, which has such a lovely sculpt, quite different from the usual in my opinion, also, she's really really solid & heavy, which surprised me!

I do hope I can do her face-up. I've forgotten my box of pastels, but hopefully I can pick up some in an art shop and manage to do a face-up or two while I'm here~~

Hope to share some photos soon!  Today I will go to Amsterdam! I'm also super excited for my mini-trip to Finland later on!

  1. Glad to hear that you arrived home safely! I would have liked to have seen that poor customs lady's face, hehe. I'm sure we all get those looks when we take dollies on holidays with us especially if they need to be pulled apart!

Congrats on her arrival. Oasisdoll make such lovely dolls. Was the wait time very long? I love their realistic style dolls and adore the aesthetics of their bodies. I didn't realise they were still producing dolls!

    1. Thank you! Haha, she suddenly didn't want to look into my bag any further and told me to move on when she saw some faces peering back at her. XD Ahahaha~ is it bad that I enjoyed that?

Oh, I ordered her 2nd hand, since this girl was an LE and had long since been sold out! I've never ordered from the company directly but I'm sure they still make dolls, I think Sarina sells them through her blog~ I love her style!

  3. The inside of that suitcase must've looked quite interesting. I bet the customs ladys expression was priceless. xD

Congratulations on getting your Oasisdoll girl, too. I've been wanting one as well, but I want the chic body and it's not only hard to get but also super expensive. But maybe some day!

    I didn't realize you'll be visiting Finland too. I hope you have a good time~ ^^

  4. Oh gosh, I would've loved to see your dolly suitcase. xD You must be a master at packing to be able to fit so many dolls with you in your luggage! Haha, the customs lady probably doesn't get to see something like that very often. :'D

But I'm glad to hear that you've reached your home town safely! Must be nice to be visiting there after a while~ ^^ And oh, you're even coming to Finland? How exciting~ :D I hope that you'll like it here!

And oh my gosh, Jadeite! She's one of my favourites from Oasisdoll, I hope I'll be able to add one into my doll family someday. *___* ♥ I'm totally smitten with the Oasisdoll girls, the face and body sculpts are so lovely and the resin is heavy & amazing quality. ♥ And the sculptor Sarina is a real sweetheart, too, as well as Twiggy who deals with the orders. :3 I'm glad to hear that you're happy with your Jadeite~ I hope that we'll be seeing lots of photos of this beauty! :D

    1. Haha, it really did look pretty weird though. Not sure if I'm foolish or clever :D but I never want to check-in my dolls, so I had to some how manage to get them in my smaller suit case.

Yeah, it's weird to see how it's changed after almost 2 years away from home! Finland will be super exciting for me too :D But sooo cooold I imagine!

Ah yes, I've been a fan of Oasisdoll for a long time as well, Sarina is really nice. (I met her once at a HK doll party) ~ I strongly recommend them! Hope you can also get one, and I'd love to see what you'd do with yours too! :D

  10. Congratulations on your new doll! ^__^ She's beautiful, I hope to see her with face up soon!

It must've taken you some juggling to put all your dolls in one bag. O__O Takes some serious skills that thing! I can imagine how the customs lady was surprised about seeing them. LOL.

I hope you will have wonderful holiday all around and welcome to Finland too. ^__^

    1. Thank you so much :D Finland will be amazing I'm sure!

Yeahhh, the trick is to not care too much about them getting a little bit crushed and having faith that resin is really strong I think. Haha :D
